“Congressional Democrats, along with the majority Democrats here at home, vowed when they came back to work in January, they would focus on the economy and job creation.
“Instead they have spent one-quarter of the 2011 Legislative Session on social issues, spending money taxpayers don’t have, and adding new taxes.
“While Republicans here in Hawai’i and in DC work to improve the economy, ensure taxes are raised and stimulate job creation, the Democrats are busy with their ‘business as usual’ agenda.
“It’s going to take Hawai’i taxpayers to stop the ‘bad’ bills and stand with your Republican caucus. We must say: ‘Not on our watch’ to the majority party.
“It’s time for the people of Hawai’i to remind Democrats that the days of playing politics with taxpayers’ lives are over.”
